Caleb Porter to stay at Akron

And he signs a new five year contract to boot. Via BigSoccer:

Caleb Porter will remain the University of Akron men's soccer coach, UA Assistant Athletics Director/Media Relations Mike Cawood said Tuesday night.

Cawood said Porter and UA have reached an agreement on a new five-year contract. Terms of the contract were not immediately announced.

Now what are DC United going to do? Even though they never officially commented, Goff's reports make it look like they put a lot of eggs in this basket. It was also just hours after Brucio at du Nord commented (a little hastily, I think):

Many people are convinced that Akron head coach Caleb Porter will become the next DC United head coach.

Still I think it was smart of Porter to stay. Now let's see what DC comes up with in their other 3 candidates. Onalfo?
