Fake Sigi Industries responds to ungrateful blogger

To the readers of Fake Sigi:

It is with great disappointment that we read the post of our blogger. We want you as readers to know that we have worked very hard over the last 9 months to come to an agreement with Fake Sigi. We have made a number of proposals that could potentially address maybe one of Fake Sigi's concerns, so long as he agreed to crippling compromises in other areas. We're not going to talk about what those specific proposals are, however, as we think the negotiating table is the best place to reach an agreement as opposed to in the media.

We will say that we have tried to impress upon our blogger that Fake Sigi is still a new blog. We are still not making money on Fake Sigi, at least not much money, at least not the kind of money we want to share. And don't forget about how much we've invested in blogging infrastructure around this country, from negotiating an exclusive hosting agreement with Blogger, to obtaining the domain name, to registering an e-mail account.

The fact is a strike would do great damage to this blog. It would not kill the blog, though, and we are prepared to wait out any sort of work stoppage, talk of which is premature and sure to hurt negotiations and Fake Sigi's position.

We look forward to continuing to negotiate with Fake Sigi, and we're confident we can reach an agreement by the start of the season.

Sincerely yours,

Management, Fake Sigi Industries

The strike has given me so much more to write about. Plus, it's a World Cup year. I'm sure you would have something to say about that.

Don't forget that a significant portion of the FS blogging infrastructure was actually paid for by the taxpayers, but hey, they INTENDED that money to go into the pockets of the owners. Or else they wouldn't have passed those stadium deals. Um, I mean, those blogging infrastructure deals.
