Sounders fans, I'm sorry

I don't know what else to say. We went out, co-opted a nobel foreign tradition for our own purposes, did a lot of good for a lot of people, quadrupled the attendance Columbus had earlier in the week when they were playing in an actual competion, and then, we went out and just laid a big turd on the field. Oh, at times we looked good against a lower division team who'd played less than we had in preseason, right? That counts for something doesn't it?

But really, it's the same old story. Chances, defending, no goals scored, and in the end we lose at home.

I know yesterday's game was maybe the most important of the season for some of you, and I know we royally messed it up. I fall on my sword. All I can say is have you watched the tape of the teams I coached back in 2006 and 2007? I'm not saying I have a track record on this sort of thing, or that those tapes might look real familiar to you, but hey, keep in mind, this is preseason. And no one plays regular season plinko like Fake Sigi.

Anyway, don't worry about this one. It's on me. Or Adrian Hanauer. Actually, let's put this one on him. Keep the faith.

Maybe you should just tell Pass Back Pete to go ahead and expose those pictures he has of you so we can get him the &^$_* out of our midfield. We promise we won't judge you too harshly. It's not like you're a pro golfer, or an English footballer...

You have no idea. Those pictures can never see the light of day.

I thought, for a millisecond, that you might be sorry that the game didn't get televised.

Gosh, you'd think that woulda been in the best interest of US club soccer - but I can see how it wouldn't benefit MLS to highlight a competition with a club that will undergo mock promotion.

Can't call attention to that elephant in the room....

Like I would have wanted more people to see our appalling finishing?

I'm not sure what the rate of televising charity matches is around here, but I'll bet it's pretty low.

Dear Fake Sigi,

Fuck you and the horse you rode in on. Sure an apology is great, but seriously. PORTLAND!?! We've been kicking the shit out of those assholes on a regular basis long before you and your pregnant ass rode into town. Now with more money and power than God and Tom Hanks you invited them to our home turf for charity and FUCKING LOSE!?!?!

They're supposed to be the Washington Generals for Christ's sake. I hate you, and Peter Vaginas, and everyone else you brought here. Even that Swedish Chef sounding bald motherfucker.

Give me Roger Levesque and Seba Le Toux and I'll get the job done. Those guys know how to properly beat some Portland ass.

I couldn't care less about winning the fucking MLS Cup now. You ruined my entire season. Want to kill my dog too? Fuck my wife?

I hate you.

Love,
Seattle

There is absolutely NOTHING that soccerreform.us won't turn into a diatribe against MLS.

Every freaking MLS game this season is going to be televised in HIGH GODDAMN DEFINITION, but because a frigging preseason europosing "community shield" wasn't on, that, of course, means MLS is evil and your tinfoil-hat-wearing bullshit gets another pimping.

Next you're going to be pissed the Voyageurs Cup or the US Open Cup match between AC Barfly and FC Reading United AC SC isn't televised.

Give it a rest, freakshow.

Actually, the game was "televised" locally in Seattle in HD. Had some advertisements during the run of play, but oh well- getting a preseason game on TV is a step in the right direction.

As far as FS's fake apology, he can blow it out his ass. We expect to win every game against Portscum, period.

Of course, we're spoiled, because historically we win about 2/3rds of the games we play against those cunts. Beating them on the way to the US Open Cup only made it that much sweeter last year.

That's right, I forgot about that.

All I can say is that Anon's comment was pure win and upstaged the original post in a major way. Well done.
